Our ongoing maintenance projects have gone well in 2019 with new swing seats fitted, a new springer, new shelter roof and new foot boards in the todller and child play area. Also the timber trail has had new top beams fitted and stepping logs replaced.
As part of our long term goal we would like to continue our Glen Dubh riverside walk extending it all the way to the Tong road completing the walk and connecting our communities by creating a walking route between the two communities. We are hoping that 2020 will see us closer to seeing this come to fruition with various funding applications in the pipeline.
Having successfully applied to Point and Sandwick trust and the landfill trust along with local ward funds in 2019 we were able to add new equipment to the playpark including a new shelter, an inclusive design swing and spider monkey climber.
